The Coldwell Banker Legacy real estate office where Maez now calls home easily outsells all other firms doing business in the region. He says that the company is the largest real estate firm in Albuquerque, and sits at the top of the pack in sales volume.
Maez is certainly comfortable at the top of the pack. His meteoric rise in the real estate profession has given him the privilege of leading the top sales teams in the nation. He also earned two J.D. Powers & Associates awards for customer services.
But most people don't understand just how on top of the pack Coldwell Banker Legacy is.
Incredibly, he says the firm sells more New Mexico real estate than its next five competitors combined. The numbers paint a more complete picture. The office closed 4,080 homes in 2009 while it's closest competitor sold only 1,140.
But sales volume is only part of the story for Maez. After joining the CB Legacy team in November, he quickly picked up where he left off from Pulte; at the top of his class. He says his top gun philosophy came from his years pursuing excellence in the U.S. Army Reserves as a combat engineer with the 101st Airborne Division. His time in the service, including his deployment in Iraq in 2003, reinforced the values of hard work.
"There is a culture of passionate customer service here, so our philosophies couldn't be more compatible. We're driven by enthusiasm for our business and a pursuit of excellence that is absolutely contagious. It is the secret to why our clients love their home buying experience with us. We love what we do."
He says that enthusiasm for the business of helping people find NM homes extends across the CB Legacy enterprise.
"The numbers don't lie. We do a better job than anyone else out there selling Albuquerque homes. Period."
